Alternator/Voltage Reg ??\'s

90 model Geo Tracker, havent had itlong and have noticed that the tachometer glitches occassionally and the lights blink and get a little brighter at times. I am thinking that my voltage regulator might be on the way out. I have seen alot of Trackers/Sidekicks that have had computer problems...Could this be from to much voltage or a surge of power due to a faulty voltage regulator ? I think I am gonna pull mine off and take the Alternator in and have it rebuilt with a new voltage regulator installed 75 $.... I am thinking it might be good preventive maintenence as my computer could take a good shock if I dont fix it and it gets worse. ANY OF YOU GUYS had any problems in this area? Any input would be appreciated ? Thanks Mark Martin (the non race car driver) He has gone limp since taking on Viagra as a sponsor lol
