Barnwell Aug 11 run........

Hey all,

I got my zuk just about ready to take down to Barnwell; I fired her up today to see if everything would hold together. I found out that my A/C (air compressor) for my air locker has leaking reed valves. So I need to replace the compressor.

Anyway how many of you have front and rear lockers who are planning on going? I have been working on an system that uses some misters and a fan to try and keep cool at Barnwell. I would like to take an extreme group to some of the more hardcore stuff.

Well the hard trails that they do have. I don't think Barnwell is as hard as Clayton, but I have not been to Clayton yet so I can't say.

Mike, I have heard that there is some tough stuff there in Barnwell. These are reliable sources. I don't think there are many, but we can have some fun. I heard that there is this one hill that at the top it has a rock ledge that is eat out and is a booger to make.

if i am thinking correctly, you are talking about the trail they call airstrip, which is actually the trail sponsered by the Texas A&M Off Road Club. although ive yet to see it, there is a hole up there that has been known to swallow 38's! its rated a four out of four and is one of the toughest trails at barnwell.

The Houston Creek trail has a good size ledge you have to get up to get to the top.
