THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

Pauly,
I'm glad that you weren't here this morning. The dash of that Samurai was run away with little tiny ants, there must have been a billion ants under the dash. I got the 2 front bows separated from the feners, or whats left of the fenders.

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

ANTS! AAAAAAHHHHH! Now I won't be able to use the dashboard knowing that there were ants in/on it! ((OK, OK, I'm adult enough to admit in a public forum that ants freak me out. Don't give me any crap!)) I'm glad I didn't see them last night... Where'd they come from? Were they nesting behind the dashboard?

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

They were up near the bulkhead. Between that and the dash. It's too damned hot to do anything else today so I called it a day and put some camphor oil behind the dash to chase the little suckers out, because I really don't want them to be dropping down on me while I'm under there.

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

The ants are now gone, they didn't like the camphor oil and bugged out! The dash is apart and I'll have the engine, tranny and t-case separated by tuesday.

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

WOW! I wasn't expecting you to do all of this! I was planning on coming up next Saturday and continue the disassembly. If you want I'll show up sometime this week and work on it. Wednesday night looks like it'll be out of the question. Ren's working.

Be careful with the ants... They're crafty devils that will conspire to gang up on you at a later date. Right now I bet they're lurking in the shadows plotting their revenge. You may have won that battle but the war has just begun. Believe me; I know.........

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

Let me know what day you want to come up. I want to start work on the rear bumper project that's why I'm working on it. I want to look at the back to see the mounting points. I bought enough steel to make 2 bumpers.

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

when I took my dash out to paint my rig and to customise it I had the eact same problem.

I also used camphor oil but htey didn't go, so I used WD40 and a lighter. NUKED ants. *LOL*

did you have the tiny little "jet black" looking ones? I had millions of the suckers in there. maybe suzuki released the sammy with them in there as a hidden extra? *L*

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

ANTS???

What a bunch of wusses!! No wonder you were only in the Navy rob, and no wonder you never joined anything there Capn!! Worried about a bunch of harmless little bird fodder. Heck its not like we have those nasty little fire ants like they do down south and out west. All they do here is crawl around on you and make you itch!!

You guys ready to stop building and tearing crap apart and do some wheeling? That what winter time is for, summer time is for wheeling!! I may be headed back to the mountains again this weekend to work on more trails and to play some more. Any takers??

Re: THE ANTS ARE COMING !!

Some of us don't have cushy indoor jobs like you. I'm out in the heat for 8-12 hours a day and I don't feel like having a bazilloion ants droping on me. The Capn.'s the one with the ant paranoia. What are you going to do about your rear springs?
