Re: tranny rebuild....?????

You can leave the tranfer case in for the tranny rebuild.
As far as tranmissions go they seem to be fairly straight forward. the Factory service manual covers the rebuild well.

Re: tranny rebuild....?????

I have done a rebuild and I strongly recomend a press. If you have a good manual and a bit of know how you should be fine. hell I did it and it worked. Anyway, it is pretty simple and has few small parts. Where are you getting the kit?

Re: tranny rebuild....?????

If you're finding a "tranny rebuild kit" for $60, no way its a complete kit. Complete kits will also come with all the high wear Suzuki needle bearings. These are available from Suzuki only. Real rebuild kits with ALL bearings and seals will be closer to $200. Those cheapo kits only give you the ball bearing units.

Gotta watch that stuff. Its like buying a "4.5inch SPOA kit" off Ebay and ending up wth a couple of crappy trailer spring perches.
