Clutch was smoking. Will it need to be changed?

I was in San Francisco today. They have these HUGE hills where you have to worry about your Suzuki rolling back. Stupid me, I found a parking space at this huge hill and I was going to parallel park but my Suzuki was rolling back ready to hit a parked car in the back. Luckily I steaped on my brakes. Then I knew that was just a couple of inches of hitting that parked car so I kind of stressed my clutch so it will not roll back any inches. Then after that, I smelled my clutch. That was bad news. When do you think I need it replaced? I can still drive the Suzuki and there is not that much diffrence at the clutch pedal.

Make sure your free play is good on the adjustment.
Otherwise run it. I stunk up my old autozone clutch many times before I replaced it.
