Re: NE Fabfest- sept 1,2

Well thats another weekend project.. I haven't asked about a trailer yet. Do you have mounts for flattowing at the house?
I can come out early Sat and snap the other truck or you can just come out. I can allways take a day off and come get the
Jumper..

I have the plates here to attatch to the tow bar. If you dont want to do it this weekend Thats fine, let me know either way. It might be better for you if you want to use a day to get it?? There your days, spend them how you see fit. Ive got to go out to the yard and talk to the manager about some of the cars ive been buying. My 20v dream audi turbo wagon is coming up for sale in NY so i might have to go get it. Im going to sell my gold one and exchange it for this one, with the bigger engine.....

Re: NE Fabfest- sept 1,2

I'll give the campground a call and make reservations. Is that where everyone is staying? I'd hate to mess up Glenns lawn, and if there's going to be a few people around, it'd be nice to all grab one spot, like a mini Zookin'2K1. Maybe the safari area?

I'll be flat towing mine down, so it'll be there, and I'd love to pre-run some trails as well.

Re: NE Fabfest- sept 1,2

I just thought of something, if it's $18 per nite, and I'm staying 2 nites at least, that's $36 (or $54 for 3 nites) that could go for something on the Zuk. Can you have a fire at your place? Maybe that'd be better than pitching the tent down the road and spending money. I have a large tent that could accomodate a few more people (Max and Orion?) if others want to bunk up. Besides, no telling how late these things will go. I'm just thinking practically as I do have 400 miles to drive towing a vehicle, which means 12 mpg ($90 just in fuel, then tolls, meals, and whatever).

Re: NE Fabfest- sept 1,2

Sweet! ANd I like the idea of the DOM tie rod. That is something everyone could use. Shouldn't cost much for materials and could be made rather quickly.

Did you use ball joints or Heim rod end?

Re: NE Fabfest- sept 1,2

yes you can stay out back. As long as we cook on the fire no sweat. The tie rod uses the stock ends. I just cut the welds
an pulled the tube out and replaced it with the DOM. I am
not sure I want to assemble them for people, Think liability.
If you want to do it yourself then fine. If your welding
skills arn't up to snuff then Don't do it. (Max doesn't
count as I all ready am in up to my neck with the Zlink and
pitman arm...) The material is 20.00 for the 33 1/4" That you need. I can get the specs on the tubing, But don't want to lay out 100.00 in tube for people. (If you want some Tim I will get it for you.)
