Found a welder... SPOA going on this week...

I know I don't post here too often, but I wanted to share with everyone that my Sammi HT is disassembled in preparation for 6" of SPOA lift. 33x12.50 BFG MT's going on as soon as my wheels come in. A good welder is worth his weight in gold, or at least ice-cold beer. I will post pics whenever I get the beast back together.

Fairbanks is a nice place. Cold 9 months of the year but nice. I was up at your base for awhile back in 98. I looking forward to seeing pics. Talk to you later and good luck. BTW do you work with the A-10's up there?

Nope, I don't get to work with the A-10's. They're the only plane I'd fly (Ok, so I only need about 1/2 of one wing left to get home? Cool). But no, I work for Detachment 460, who operates and maintains a network of 45 seismometers around the state of Alaska to monitor underground nuclear weapons testing treaties. Sounds complicated, but it's not that bad. Anyway, we get to four-wheel our 7500 lb. 1-ton trucks (and get them stuck), we have ATVs for summer, and snowmachines for the winter. And if you get really stuck, we come get you with the LMC tracked vehicle. Too much work to do for our 8 man maintenance shop, though. OK, mission brief over, you are dismissed.
