Re: up-side down springs??

Check out my attachment.

It would be shweeeet if you could post a pic of your springs. Most likely these guys will think that your overload leaf has been flipped upside down.

Re: up-side down springs??

why do you keep posting that attachment? it doesnt make any sence, and it doesnt have anything to do with upside down springs...

the over load spring on my zook has a negative arch... this is normal because the springs are flat and the overload spring isnt supposed to figure into the equation until your zook is loaded with lots of weight... so it might appear that the over load spring is on upside down to someone who has no idea what they are talking about... most likely the guys who you were talking to didnt

Does your spring wrap around the top of the eye or the bottom?

Re: up-side down springs??

Most Non-Zuke people don't understand the setup of the Zuke springs. It's kinda hard to put em on upside down.
BTW: some file formats don't work well with translators or in rendering. .bmp (bitmapped) images are not too good to use. Try using a .gif or .jpg file format for better results.

Re: up-side down springs??

YEAH I have to agree...it would darn nigh be impossible to put the springs on upside down without masssive body lift....plus then wouldn't the front end be slammed?

Re: up-side down springs??

Will the springs are flat. There is very little arc. I would still be worried about having my axle remodel my oil pan.

SB,
Have you asked your dad if he turned them over. You mentioned that he bought it new. And I know if I owed it I would know if the springs had been flipped. Sounds to me like you need to consider the source of your information. Maybe not ask that guy anything eles beor you relly mess stuff up. So you did a good job asking us.

Re: up-side down springs??

hey guys sorry so late,
no my dad told me that he bought it like that! I do not know if it is normal but my front springs point towards the ground but if you look at them from the bottom of the car then you will see they are actually straight but I do not know maybe I will just pull them off and look at them closer or something! today I want to put my springs at the top of my shackles(1 to 2" lift!) I am about to make and put some custom expanders on that will be 2" collapsed and 4" fully extended!
