test run results

Ok, I took the suki upto the Deer Valley trail between hwy 4 and hwy 88 in norCal. It's a somewhat tough trail with lots of sections of 12 to 30 inch boulders. Some of the sections are up hill, some down hill, some flat ground, some off camber, etc.

I did manage to lift a rear tire, but could not get full extension on the front.

The rig:
86 with CSC YJ conversion (5 leaf front, 4 leaf rear). Spring Under. 31x10.5 TSL's on 15x8 2.75 backspaced Rock Crawlers. No shocks.

The results:
1. I busted off one of my front bump stops that I had extended (weld didn't hold very well).
2. I twisted the long tcase mount due to the 4.16 gears (time to get that taken care of before Suzuki on the Rocks).
3. Found out that I have way too much bump steer.
4. I need to cut out the rear of the front wheel wells.

Re: test run results

It did pretty good. I wasn't able to get full drop up front. The rear is limiting sooner than I want so I'm going to put missing links in the rear.
