virus going around again!!!

just got another email. after that warning from zukiguy(neil) in tx about his puter sendin emails with virus's, i got one of those freebee virus scanners that goes through the puter. well, it detected that circam (i think) virus. after a evening of down time n not being able to connect to the internet cause of server problems and hours on the phone with IFIPEZ (thanks again sir) we finally got mine cleared up. just got another email from tim porter. different subject line, but exactly same content. this time the norton anti virus caught it in that email. if you receive a email from tim porter with the subject line """purple zuk 8"""" i would delete it. dont think tim knows hes got problems there, been trying to call him. will continue to try. it looks like exactly same thing zukiguy's sent out last week.
fare warning!!!

Re: virus going around again!!!

Go to Symantecs website and use their online Sircam detection and removeal tool. Takes about 4 minutes to scan and remove depending upon how many files you ahve on your machine.

You can visibly see the virus exe if yo ugo to your windows explorer on your start menu, then go to windows/recycled. You will see the Sircam32.exe sitting there in the Recycled folder. The creator(s) of this virus obviously didn't care enough to make it a hidden file, apparently they felt it would do enough damage to global mail servers fast enough that they didn't need to make it hidden. Anyways, there ya go, good luck everyone. I've caught it with my scanner a few times from various people since my machine was infected too, so it's still out there.
