Hey, another cadhead! Nice work! I like to draw up my ideas, too (I used to draw professionally for an Architectural firm). I have a buddy who runs a precision metal shop complete with an automated laser. He plugs my drawings right into it computer and it perfectly cuts out my ideas. It's pretty sweet. Especially since he does it for lunch at Chili's. I'm startin' on a new bumper now.

Looks like something I tried a while ago. I found it worked ok with a stiff spring, but if you put a soft one on, like a YJ, the spring will stretch out far enough that the first shackle bottoms out on the spring.
I would like to play with it a bit. I'm going to need to lower my shackle point when I add my new frame section. but I will need to shorten the shackle so I can maintain a frame height of 28" but would like the extra articulation.
