Snorkel Pics

Here's a few pictures of my new Snorkel. I think it came out OK. The under the hood stuff was a PITA!!!! I had to turn the battery 90* to get everything to fit together.

But just so everyone knows.....it is possible to run a snorkel through the cowl infront of the windshield.

Re: Snorkel Pics

What did you use to seal everything? also, how do you get the air box to carb sealed? It looks as if it is metal to metal. granted it is mostly for splashes vs fording 10' of water where there is some real pressure forcing water into the engun. I wonder if there is a one way valve you coule put on an exhaust system so if you ever stalled it would not kill the engine. A valve on the snorkle would work real well also. Have you done anything to the engine oil seals? Oilpan, the main crank and cam seals..... Also what about the fan? Are you running electric? Thanks..

got zook?

Re: Snorkel Pics

Is it a straight pipe or do you have a muffler on that somewhere? If not, how is the noise with it sitting right there witht he passenger? How did you route the pipe, just behind the oil pan? Very nicely done!
