need help, Front missing link

I need to know if any body can help me out on makeing some front missing links. I am going to Tellico this weekend and can't go unless I get some. I just installed some rear zook springs up front and the stock shackle just doesn't fit any more. Please help or if any vendor can get them to me by Thursday thats cool to.

When you run those rear springs up front, do you remove the bottom spring, the heavy load spring? Or just cut it off to retain that 1/4" of heigth it provides. I'm about to install them on mine. Do they droop under the load of the motor? What's the low down?

Re: need help, Front missing link

I still have the stock springs on the rear, puilled a set from my parts Zuki to put on the front. I cut them on the rear rather than remove them, but didn't want to remove them without knowing if they would droop too much w/o them.

Re: need help, Front missing link

from what it sounds you could take some 15 dollar shackles(I know...if I got a penny for all the times I prescribed this I would have a damn good zuk!) from discount cause they are 2 piece design you could mate them to the shackles you have now except let one rest on the bumper like you would have to with a missing link anyway!! Just trying to save you from 80 bucks or so!!

Zukiguy are you talking about not putting missing links on there I don't think it will work. But I might be wrong if some one could clear me up on this.

Re: need help, Front missing link

I have briefly heard of people rigging there zuks and using stock shackles......but I think you would want something that would extend out to the proper length then have a shackle dropping from it!! this seems like it would give you the right articulation but I am just thinkin?!?!!

Re: need help, Front missing link

Oh no, I wasnt saying not using the missing links. I was asking about using or not using the bottom spring from the rear pack. Can't help ya on the missing links question, I don't know the answer.
