Towbars & stock Bumper...

In case it ain't blatantly obvious,

I did, then had second thoughts about it. When I took the bumper off, I discovered three things:

1. The bumper is fastened on to frame extensions at the end of the bumper, not the middle.

2. The bumper is flimsy 1/16th inch stamped steel.

3. If you are real careful scratching the paint off the backside, you'll reveal the words "Kirin Beer". (LOL!)

I would have been pretty pi$$ed when my Sammy decided to find it's own way to Attica sometime early in the trip.

Re: Towbars & stock Bumper...

The scary thing is the rear bumper is even weaker than the front.

Re: Towbars & stock Bumper...

Hey Ack,

One of my tow points broke on the way home sending my Sami all over the place. Luckily we were in aparking lot when it happened. I guess I'll need to make some real tow points for the next tow.
