drive or tow...

I'm this far ( -> <- ) from sayin' what the heck! I'm driving it ALL THE WAY THERE & BACK!

39 bucks a day for a dolly?
22 for a towbar?

Heck, it's runnin great and it's cool with the back flap rolled up and the side windows down at 65...

It's stock, so it ain't tippin over too easy...

The temp gage is rock solid showing just below the halfway point...

I have health insurance.

This'll be my son's first road trip in 9 years...

We'll have to travel extry-lite: The Weber, the other weber (for road-kill) the EGR and a few other bits & pieces the air pig & hose...

Since it is 950 miles round trip (sez Mapquest) I may win the prize for farthest to drive unassisted!

What do you think? Does Dackerly & son drive or do they tow?

Vote NOW!

Re: drive or tow...

Hey Ack,

Take advantage of AutoZone's liberal return policy. Buy a towbar for $120.00, use if for the melt then return it for a refund when you get home.

Re: drive or tow...

I suggest the tow bar. it may sound wimpy but if you run into some rain storms/high winds you will be glad you towed. just my 2 cents later mike

Re: drive or tow...

HEY- I am all for using the auto zone idea! Heck if it works out for ya! We will be trailering this year...did the tow bar thing last year... which worked out just fine for us, now the truck is a lot bigger, hubby was concerned about that so we went to the trailer for a fix on that problem. Either way, hope to see you there!

Re: drive or tow...

Yeah, I'm 1,250 miles, which was the deciding factor for not going, FUEL COSTS!

I'm glad we didn't make plans to go, out tenants moved out, left the place a shambles, no oil or propane either, and haven't paid the last 2 electric bills. Also holes in the wall, broken toilet cover, and stained walls. And young people actually wonder why people won't "give them a chance". This is what happens.
