Tracker tranny any good?

I bought crashed (drivers side) geo tracker last week. it has only 45000km on it's gage.
It's 1993 model with manual hubs, no power steering, manual tranny, carburated etc.
Here is few questions to you tracker/sidekick/vitara gurus:

Could it be 93 because it's carburated?
Is the whole package (motor/tranny/t-case) worth of swapping to my LWB sammy?
What is gearing at tranny and t-case?
Are those locking hubs suitable for samurais?
Is there something more what I can use from it except motor, tranny and R/P's?

I have been thinking of dual-case also for this so I'm also curious where I can
find pics of Mike Saffers rig. Could someone post some links if there is.

Thanx in advance!

Re: Tracker tranny any good?

definitely worth the swap...

your tranny would stay the same with a .86 5th and the t/case would change to 1:1 high and 1.82:1 low

Uh that definitely does not sound right...carbureted...nah unless the driver before switched it then just try n go with a weber..otherwise stay with EFI

you can use the 3rd members except for the fact I would suggest just trying to swap the rear axle in because of the work I heard is done to put the rear 3rd in and I think the front just slides in! In fact if you had two fronts they would slide in either axle!

definitely would try n go with the dual cases and the 5.12 cause you would definitely crawl perty good!

do not know about the hubs!!
