Zukinator or other EFI gurus - Help

Well, we cleaned the EGR valve and reinstalled it with a new gasket and my surging and stalling problem has vanished. I've been driving the truck for a couple days like this and the computer has been flashing a code 12 (which means all clear as far as I understand). So I'm happy, but today I'm getting a code 44. The truck still runs great though. My mechanic friend (Yodazuk) has gone on holidays, and he's the only one I know with a repair manual for EFI. His manual lists the codes and their descriptions. Can anyone here let me know what a code 44 means? Thanks.

Re: Zukinator or other EFI gurus - Help

Code 44 (4 flashes, pause, 4 flashes) is the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) idle switch circuit. Manual says, "Check the TPS and its adjustment as described in Chapter 4. Replace TPS if necessary."

The info. I sent to you in the e-mail is from chapter 4.

I'll be back.
