Re: nissan motor swap photos

has it got plenty of low end torque? how about 5th gear --does the ratio work out similar to sami trans? it sounds like you were able to use stock mtr mounts modified ? is cooling a problem? is the setup much heavier than stock? how much exhaust modification did you have to do? sorry if i sound like a 1st grader asking questions but i,m ready do do some sort of swap & am not completely sold on the 1.6 8 valve & don't want to go to fuel injection. thanks for info!

Re: nissan motor swap photos

if it came out of a 280z it would be a six cylinder,it more than likely came out of a old 200sx. just a guess, but sure on the 280z part. later mike

Re: nissan motor swap photos

I'm doing a nissan in my zuk also as soon as we get around to it,But i'm doing the Z24 from a 85 nissan 720 pick-up.My brother has done one in a zuk he had and it fit great sounds like you had to make the same mods. for yours as he did,he ran a 5 speed but the one i'm using is a automatic and it's a 2.4L i'm not sure if we will have to move my t-case back any but with the 5 speed he didn't have to and no body lift was needed to run the 5 speed i hope i'm not going to need one to clear the tranny in mine. And should have all the power that i'll need with the carb. motor.

Re: nissan motor swap photos

240, 260, and 280 z cars all had 6 cylinder engines. They were not ever offered with a 4 cylinder. The car you are talking about is 200 SX witch came with the 4 cylinder. Depending on what series you have a L20B (this number will be cast into the pass. side of the block) with a 21-psi of boost makes 275 HP.
