NANIFOLDS

ARE THE MANIFOLDS(INTAKE) ON THE 1.3 AND 1.6 ENGINES- THE SAME???
NEED UR ANSWERS TECH WIZARDS.. OR I WILL NEED TO RUN AROUND FOR DAYS

1.3 intake manifold (carb) will bolt to the 8 valve 1.6 head as well as the exhaust manifold. The 1.6 is roughly the same diameter piston, only longer (taller).

I think he was talkin about those gancy performance ones you can pick up from discount auto for like 300 smackers and they are supposed to guve you performance??!! [img]/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif[/img]!

The 1600 has larger bores to the head so to get every little bit of performance out of a 1600 motor with a 1300 manifold start by getting a 1600 intake gasket and match it to the manifold scribe it then grind out the extra 8th of an inch of material I did this and I'm also running a big MIKUNI carb. I also bored out the the intake manifold to match up with the carb and the my Sammy goes like a RAPED APE !
