Crossing US/Canada border with Zuk??

I'll be flat towing my LWB Samurai to Zookimelt in a little over a week. I am concerned about entering the US with a vehicle which was never sold there, and is also modified to a point that might deem it unsafe for road use in certain states. Have any Canadians on this BBS been harassed at the border about this?

You may want to use a pressure washer on it before crossing the border. I know of some Jeep people who were turned away and told to clean the mud off before they could cross. When you get to the Badlands, they have a pressure washer you can use before you start home. See Ya at ZookMelt !

If you got it registered and the Zuk is clean, no prob. Flat tow or drive it, doesn't matter.
Like someone else posted make sure it';s clean, no mud.
Something to do with germ.....
When I came back from Newfoundland they actually wash your car before you get on the ferry!! fire hoses no less and vacuum the interior too.....

Everyone knows those Canadians are full of germs! I think that's so ridiculous... We couldn't take an apple pie from Niagra through the border...

AARRRRRRRG! 1987 Red JX 'vert, 4.5 BREEZE SPOA, SJ410 T-case (next week), 29 Super Swampers... more to come.... AARRRRRRRG!

I went to Toronto to buy mine and I had no problems crossing the border back into the US.I had to stop and pay the import duties and I was off for home. Just make sure that it's clean!

Thanks guys. She'll be spic 'n span when I cross next week. You won't be able to find a cleaner Samurai for miles.
