Beadlocks

I'm in the market for a set of beadlock rims. I found a shop in Clarksville, Tenn. that sells Bart beadlocks for $122 (8X15). Anybody have any experience with these? Also,
anybody in the southeast know of a better price?

Thanks,
James Hiers

Re: Beadlocks

Hey, is that 122 for a rim, a pair, or what...? Is it the whole rim or just the beadlock assembly? I readily admit that I don't know much about beadlocks. I mean, I know what they do, I just don't know how it install 'em, where to get 'em, or much else for that matter!

Re: Beadlocks

You know you could just add tubes right!! No it will not give you the same effect but it helps and costs less

Re: Beadlocks

Sounds like a great deal James. I think I paid around $600 for my set of MRT's. What kind of backspacing are you going with? Have you almost got your rig back together?

Re: Beadlocks

Pillard, that price would be for one wheel with beadlock and it is a very good price. James, could you post a phone # or address for this place?

Re: Beadlocks

Hi Toolman,

Sorry, I can't make the Melt this year ((, I went back to school to try and get smart.

I hope to see you guys at Tellico at the Zukisouth run in October.

Re: Beadlocks

Hi Chris,

That price was for Bart beadlocks, 15X8 with a 2" backspace. The "sales girl" on the phone could not tell me if there would be additional shipping to the shop so I need to call back and get that info.

BTW, don't you have 2" backspaced rims? Have you had any problems? How does it affect steering effort?

Re: Beadlocks

Hello Scott,

I'm at school now and I don't remember the phone number. I'll get it tonight and post it Monday (the campus is 50 miles from my "summer home".
