FYI- Driving Light add-on

I was finally adding my generic driving lights to the weasel, and Being the good guy that I am, I was hooking up a relay so they will only come on when the High-beams are on. well turns out that suzuki controls the on/off for the
headlights by lifting the ground! What this means is that the relay works fine until I turn off the headlights (With the aux lights switch still on) the driving lights click back on! I checked the schematic and sure enough that what they do.(12v is floating on all leads to the headlight.)
This is also why when one of the fuses blow on a sami that headlight glows half brite.
So I just added another switch inline with the relay wire so I have a double safe. Not a big deal but just a little gotcha.

Re: FYI- Driving Light add-on

yep, thats how mine works... its a pretty cool setup actually because you can have just your auxilary lights on or you can run them with the brights... you cannot however run them with the lowbeams, that way you wont blind anyone.

its pretty neat... i like to go around in stealth mode sometimes with just the auxilary lights on (no side or tail lights, and no dash lights)... or you can also run your park lights with the auxilary lights...

endless possibilitys!

The horn is also like that, when you press the horn button it connects the negitave power to it.
