BIG GLOAT!

AARRRRGG! I just sealed the deal on a mint, low mileage, NEVER OFFROADed, freshly painted, undented nor rusted, 1987 Special Edition Samurai for CHEAP, I MEAN CHEAP!!! It's got an aftermarket hardtop, A/C, auto locking hubs and the COVETED split back seat! The best part is the low mileage; this baby's only got 60K on it! It also came with a NICE, clean 87 with a bad motor. Hey Whazoo, get yer tail up here and make me an offer on the bad motored one before I break my tools out, strip it and sell it for parts on ebay...

AARRRRRRRG! 1987 Red JX 'vert, 4.5 BREEZE SPOA, SJ410 T-case (next week), 29 Super Swampers... more to come.... AARRRRRRRG!

Re: BIG GLOAT!

Hey Pauly

Where did you find this one? Anything good on the 87 I can talk you out of? I still have your flares, one day I will get home long enough to get them to you. I am out in San Diego right now for another 5 days. Hows the other project going?

Re: BIG GLOAT!

the red one has a 4.5 SPOA. We spent Sunday down at Tim's and Rob showed up to help. It runs great! I put a set of used 29 Thornbirds underneath it and the ride flexes like mad! I'll let you know more on the 87 with a bad motor when I know more. I do know where there's an 88.5 which you could pick up cheap.

i found the SPECIAL EDITION sitting in the MVA parkinglot. I was looking it over because it looked EXACTLY like the used one at Rich Morton's a few months ago. I was thinking to myself, "What nut would pay $3995.00 for a Samurai." when the owner came out. I learned it wasn't the same one, we talked for a few, he said he didn't like it much and told me it was for sale. I gave him my number and forgot all about it until he finally called me....

Re: BIG GLOAT!

Sounds kinda like my sami. Same special edition, CA car with no rust, but only no hardtop, no auto hubs, no AC, 100k miles, oh but it has the split back seat! I got mine for $900, of course I have more like $1400 in it now, but hey thats VERY cheep for my area. I can sell it without trouble for $2500. I think my area has the highest demand for samurais anywhere. I can count about 4 samis spoa with 31 or bigger on a trip across town. Any decient sami will go for $2000 easy. Anything suzuki is snatched up quick. Makes me think about selling my jem, and getting another one mechanically sound (buy it somewhere else of course) but with a rough body and turn it into THE 4x4 rig. Strip the carpet, weather proof everything, hack off the bumper, spoa, sawzal the wheel wells to fit 33's, lockers front and rear, the works. I just don't know If I could let stanley go..

Re: BIG GLOAT!

Up here if you can find a decent Samurai for under 3000k your lucky. In ND if it has 4wd people want a mint for it. I have the only lift Samny in my area.

I would kill for a cheap convertible model.
