This is what I did... Dissamble the wheel and knuckel assembly, scoop out all the sand and grease (sand comes first ahahhaah, dam.....), clean everything with diesel fuel. The front bierfield joint can be a pain to clean out. A good compressor and the fuel and some ingeneuity and you've got a clean joint. Grease the #@
[email protected]#$# out of the bierfield joint, install the xle, blop about 2 handfulls of good graphite based (blue tub, about 4 bucerroos) into the housing. grease the bearings, replace the bearing seals (oops, dont ferget the axle seals!), and torque everything down. Replace the rubber gasket in the knuckle thing or commonly refered to as the sand-and-water-keeper-outer seal ehehhehe.. The seal was gone on my zook, and the raito of sand to grease was about 3 parts sand to 1 part grease! Runs real nice now.. It is not too hard, just takes a while and makes a biiiig mess!
got zook?
