help with rear axle slop

ok at high speeds, or should i say above 25mps, my back axle on a sammi, i just bought to mudd with, the axle sounds like it's going to blow. when i got back form getting gas, i got under her and the driveshaft will move up and done. does this sound like the pinion bearing or the crush sleve, any comments, ideas, or knowledge of past fixes.

Re: help with rear axle slop

<font color=blue> It could be your pinion bearing, or just axle wrap. Grab your rear drive shaft and push it around a little. If the pinion is moving around your bearing is out. If it feels solid you might just have spring rap. My pinion bearing just went out and I had it replaced and I was able to make the pinion flop around easily by moving the driveshaft around by hand.
