ford 2.8L v-6 in samurai

I put a ford 2.8L v-6 in my suzuki samurai and I am having trouble with heat. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix the problem? Someone from wildwestoffroad said his conversion kit will fix the problem, but I don't want to go to all that trouble right now. If you have any ideas, please post. If you want, you can email me at [email protected] -thanks

ar eyou running electric fan on both sidews of the raditor? what size raditor are you running ? i have seen a 3 core raditor . you mightn want to find one of them? has that motor been bored? what size thermostat are you running? id run the coolest you can find. and i would try some of that Redline water wetter cooling treatment you can get out of summit racing or jegs lower your coolant temp up to 30% ive run it in derby cars before it helped a little but not 30%.
but a oilcooler in front of the raditor . cooler oil = cooler motor.

What year, model did the engine come out of? What tranny did you use?
Do you have any photos that you could post?

i have a 2.8 ford in mine, i havn't got a chance to really drive it hard yet, but mine dosn't get hot. i used a radiator from a late 60's bronco and a electric fan from autozone.

ive heard of those engines lasting for long time ( wich is a lil hard to swallow since it bein a ford heheh) i know of a guy who has his and has ummm i think around the neighborhood of 350 000... which is like diesel life! thats a long time for a ford. maybe on rare occasion hehe.

did you use the same tranny outta the truck?

the trany is a c4 from a late 70's mustang combined with parts from a early 70's short shaft c4. makes for a nice short trany.
