The wait is over!! (almost)

After two years of dreaming and drooling over everybody else's Samurais. I will finally be able to finish mine. I ordered the 4.16 gears and final necessities for completing my lift yesterday. I will no longer drive a "cute" car ( I've even had a guy tell me that it was "cute", which kinda frightened me ) The guys at work won't snicker every time I brag about how well samurai's do off-road. I can take the doors off without feeling ashamed. It will finally be a man's vehicle. Not a college girl commuter. I've bought the necessary parts litlle by little over the last two years and when it is finished it will have a 5.5" SPOA with 32x11.50 BFG AT's a 4.16 T-case, thorley headers, and Weber Carb. By the way KUDOS to Tim at NCO he's a trusting fellow who knows how to keep customers. Thanks Tim. Anyways I just wanted to broadcast the news to people who might actually care. Unlike the Heathens at work who still mock and do not yet understand the ways of the Samurai.

No worries. Life is Good.

Re: The wait is over!! (almost)

I know what you mean with the comment "cute" vehicle. Mine was just painted yellow and currently is stuck in that status. At least now it has a full cage to remove some of that "cute"-ness. I have a set of nice "mean" 31x10.5 Swamper TSL's on Rock Crawlers to get completely rid of the "cute"-ness, but I'm still waiting for the arrival of my CSC kit (over 8 weeks now).

Re: The wait is over!! (almost)

I share your pain brother!!!! My first Suzuki was an '84 SJ410. If I had a dime for every time someone called it a "cute little jeep"[Argh!#!*], I'd be driving a Hummer rigth now!!! (of course I'd have a few Radical Samurais to drive when I really wanted to go wheeling!!!!!)

Re: The wait is over!! (almost)

Well, mine is painted OD green. It has an SJ410 grill with exposed headlight buckets. The interior lacks carpet and even door panels. Nobody calls it cute.

1988.5 Zuk: OD Green Paint, ARB Bumper, OME Lift, 1.6 engine, ISKY DP Cam, Weber Carb, CF II Clutch, 4.16 Transfer, etc.
