Did you get your cable yet? I sent it UPS on Friday. Thanks again for saving my trip.

Re: Bit the bullet-clutch

No she's still at home. I just haven't told her yet.
I guess I really need to let her get a new dog now...
I don't know if the cable is in yet, I will check when I
get home. So you heard that story too eh? Max does love telling it.. (Sue really doesn't care as long as the rest of the bills get paid.) Glad I was able to help. I just ordered
a spare throttle cable too.. Paranoia helps see?

If you smoke this one, than my hat's off to you fella!

And you're like me. It's not that we don't have the money to spend, it's just that we hate to part with it. Definately a Scottish thing.

The cable showed up today, I am glad I had it to lend to you. Thanks for shipping it back.

Re: Bit the bullet-clutch

So Glenn, why did you choose that one over the cener force clutches, 1 or 2 for that matter? How much was it? And you told him that story while i was under my rig putting the transfer case the first night while you all gathered up your chairs and watched and kept me company.... I just made sure you kept it closer to reality with my occasional blurb in .... Darn, i have my clutch new in the box too....
I need to pound out the toyota drive line to prep it so it can be installed, dont let me forget this saturday. I will try to grab a resivior cap tomorrow as well. Max

Re: Bit the bullet-clutch

Well the Petroworks one has a few advantages, (Hopefully) Being able to slip it abit is a good thing in my mind, That and the pw one is built more with offroad in mind i think. I will figure out the driveshaft
stuff and put it on the bench. If you want to use the 4 runner one like I have we can do the mods ourselves. the longer ones are the ones that need to be shortended by my Bro in law. I just have to modify the inside of the Double carden in the 4 runner. Max on the clutch you have , If it is just the
clutch and doesn't include a pressure plate it won't hold up anyway. you really need to replace both and have the flywheel redone too. I am going to call a machine shop about the heavy flywheel today or tomorrow, Or I am going to add lead into my double pully up front, I should be able to pour quite a bit in there.
