Is a drop pitman arm neccessary?

I have aquired some 3" long travel springs and am wondering if a drop pitman arm is 100% neccessary? Or can I lengthen the drag link?

also, are there any other donor vehicles out there that I can get longer brake lines from or do I have to buy new ones from an auto parts dealer?

and if there's an aussie reading this: where do I get longer brake lines from?

Yes, you can get away without the drop pitman arm, but you may run into trouble when flexing on the trail. Not needed for a 2" lift, so your 3 inches of lift is on the border. But a 3" drop pitman should solve any problems. There are brake lines from other vehicles that will work - Toyota, I think, but someone else will have to confirm exactly which ones.
