Poly seats - RCI -Jegs - Summit ??

Are the RCI, Jegs, and Summit seats one in the same seat? The Summit seat cover looks a bit funky in the catalog pic. Jegs looks to have the best price. Anyone have the Jegs? How's the quality? Thanks......

Re: Poly seats - RCI -Jegs - Summit ??

All of the poly seats are basically the same. The covers all interchange too. I wouldn't be surprised if RCI didn't make them all and just sell them to Jeg's and Summit to sell under their own name.

There are fiberglass verisions of these seats too, but I would steer away from them. I used them in my drag cars however if I was to use them everyday, they would not hold up long. I used the fiberglass version basically to save weight. I have the aluminum high back seats made by RCI too. If people think the poly seats are hard to get in and out of, try these - even harder! They flex a little in the back and must be supported from the cross bar in the roll cage.

I have the jegs and they are fine. I used the izook article to install them but now spidertrax makes a kit. Jim

Pretty much everyone we've been selling the "RCI kits" to has been going with the JEGS seats. Haven't heard anything negative about them thus far.

I have the Summit seats, no complaints. Got the 5 pt harness setup too. Making my own mounting system, everything is going to be mounted to a 1/4" plate, which in turn will be tied into the frame.

Just a word of caution, find someone who has a set of the poly seats and "try them on". I wanted to go with the poly seats but they were too narrow for me. "Big" guys in "small" Zuks, what a concept )))))))))))
