stretch sammy

I'm about to start hardcore on my arena truck I have plans on cutting the frame almost in the center and adding 18" of frame to extend the total length of the frame,I'm going to cut the sammy in half right in front of the windshield and mount the halfs in proportion to the frame and come back with sheetmetal to close the gap.I've heard of several people extending their frame, has anyone gone this far?The truck will run 2wd with at least 300hp with an automatic,I'm also looking at converting the spring over to a coil suspension on the front for now has anyone tried this useing a donor veichle?I'm trying to get as much research as possible before I start buying. If anybody knows or has done anything similar please let me know I'm trying to put a samurai together to race the sfx and wrenchhead series(tv time)no one else has tried it yet.

Drive it like you stole it!!!
