doors off?

Just curious guys.

Where do you all store your doors when you take them off your rig for the trails? I take it you don't drive to the trails with them off, or do you?

just cusrious.

Re: doors off?

I drive mine on the road without the doors. I don't like to on the highway so much... But on the back roads and in town it's awsome! I had to fab up something so I could have a mirror on the driver's side though. Maryland law states that you must have at least a driver's sideview mirror and it seems that cops look you over twice when you drive with no doors.

Give it to me; I'll break it.

Re: doors off?

Most people leave their doors at home, becuase its a pain to find a place forthem.. inless your going on a big event or somthing, then you can take them off and leave them at your campsite.

Re: doors off?

I store my doors at home. It's summertime now, and once my doors are off, they're off for the season! I looooove driving with the doors off. In the past when I've driven with my doors to an event, I've basically just left my doors back at camp leaned up against a tree or whatever. I guess I'm not too worried that someone will try to steal them since they only fit a Samurai and I can't think of any Samurai owners who I think would even contemplate stealing from someone.

Re: doors off?

At zukimelt last year there must have been 60 sets of doors in the camp ground... never heard of any of em coming up missing. We were flat towing last year so we kept em on until we got where we were going. Now we have moved on up to trailering, but we will still leave em on till we get there, and you never know if it is gonna rain. Rain is not that bad to wheel in but ya gotta stay warm and dry if at all possible. Rae(the wife)
