Re: Filters??

Don't know what "discount" is, but we keep the hi-flow K&N filters in stock.

Re: Filters??

A K&N RU1760 fits right in the stock rubber snout from the airhorn. I slipped an old wheel bearing race inside the rubber of the filter (it's snug) to keep it from collapsing when the clamp is tighened and inserted it into the snout. The stock clamp will fit (just barely). Works really well and is cheap. You could use a stock replacement K&N to fit in the filter canister, but this is about $10 cheaper. I felt that it helps the motor breathe a good deal better. Hope this helps....

Re: Filters??

CrowHorse,

how much did you pay for the filter and have you got a picture? What shape is it? I use the K&N filter too but it's the type that fits on top of the carb neck....can't remember the part number tho..

Re: Filters??

I paid $30 for the RU1760 at a local speed shop. Attached is a pic of Tim's setup (NCO) and he shared with me how he did it. The RU1760 has a 20 degree angle as compared to the straight one Tim uses. The angled one has more rubber to slide into the snout. Either one works fine. When I get my pics developed, I'll post them as well....
