Anyone heard of Schapperell (spelling)tires?

I'm told that they're made by Good-year, and their mud tire is close in design to the MTR. The price I was quoted for these was almost half as much as the MTR though. Has anyone seen these in action? If they're anything like the MTR and are this cheap, you'd think we would have heard about it by now.
