wiring?

I am once more on a quest! I am trying to wire in the stereo system my mom handed down to me(its a bad a$$ to , tape player,6-disc, amp.,4 speaker) and I have everything wired in the system but I can not fine the power source I found a 2 red and black wires and thought those were the negative and positive but it turned out the red one went to the fuse box, the black one goes somewhere else. You see I did have a equalizer and the stock stereo but I cut all of that out and the 2 wires I thought that were it came from the equalizer. Does anybody know where the 2 power wires are..like where to look and what-not?

Thanx

Re: wiring?

<font color=blue> Most stereo's have the red going to an ignition switch and a yellow going to 12v and the black is always to the ground. There might be a blue and a orange which you will not need. One is for a power antenna and the other is for cell phones and such.
