Disaster strikes

Well, it always happens, just when your in a crunch and trying to get caught up, the unthinkable happens. I get up friday morning to hear water running on the first floor. I walk down stairs and step into an inch of water in the bathroom. Apparently a group of 8 yr old boys sabotaged the toilet. So, I think if there is water standing here, I wonder what the basement looks like. Well, it looked like a summer thunderstorm, with the water pouring from all the cracks in the subflooring. Well, my office was directly underneath this downpour. So, I have been knocked offline, lost $1000.00's in electronics, just finished drying out over a years worth of paper records, and am still cleaning up the general mess. I am also in the process of getting big ugly painted for next weeks fab fest. I didn't lose any merchandise, (in another room), all my notes from the last two weeks are gone. Data recovery is in process, but will take awhile. So, if you wanted me to bring something to the fab fest for you, please send me an email through my website (not the bbs) so I can make sure I get everyone's stuff on the truck. I am going to be a little slow responding to orders till after the fab fest, so please have patience with me.

Thanks,

TGT - NCO

Re: Disaster strikes

My sister-in-law had that happen to her in her beauty salon. Some guy came in and asked to use her bathroom, he loaded about a roll of TP into the toilet to get it to over flow and then told her something was wrong. She went in to fix it and he helped himself to the cash in the register. $800 out the door.

Big Bear,

I'm not crazy,I'm perfectly INSANE!

Re: Disaster strikes

Yeah, my 8 yr old, or him and the neighbor's eight yr old. It wasn't intentional on their part obviously, but you know how little ones dump and run, don't think to tell anyone that , uhhhh the toilets not going down. Oh well, most stuff is back up, the computer is running now after a dry out, but have to turn everything in on the insurance since it's warranty is now void, and everything electronic that got wet could go boom tomorrow. Thank God for replacement value insurance.
