Texas Twistin\'!

Hey guys, I got to go and play for a bit today! I started the day out by installing a new clutch in my faithful sami! Then proceeded to test it out on some local dirtbike trails. Well, to make a long story short, I managed to break two out of three of my t-case mounts, bent my z-link all to [email protected]!!, and discovered a rampant rear axle seal leak. What a day!...
Question tho, I gotta buddy who went in his 86 zook, his engine died not too long back and he recently installed a used one out of a newer zook that runs really great, lots of power! But the engine has a problem, it gets to a certian temp (usually takes around 10-15 minutes of runnin') and then it starts to cut out real bad. All he can really do is idle at that point. If he shuts it down, and let's it cool, then he will be good for another 10-15 minutes. It does NOT seem to be overheating in the least bit. The engine ran perfect in the zook he took it out of, and he never had this problem with his old engine, so we think that there is likely some sensor somewhere that isn't adjusted quite right. Please help! Thanks in advance.

Re: Texas Twistin\'!

Here's one of Cori's Zook! He just got a lockright in the rear and it really rocks! This is also the one with the wacky engine...

Re: Texas Twistin\'!

Nice pic's, I blew a rear axle seal when I went to Uwharrie last month, axle fluid all over the inside of my fender when I got home! At least you didn't smoke your clutch. I also blew a rear main seal and all the oil got into my bellhouseing and smoked my new clutch, had only 25miles on it! I'm in the middle of getting it fixed now! What a pain in the ass! Have fun!

Re: Texas Twistin\'!

Guy, I'd LOOOOOVE to, but I don't think I'll have the rearend patched up on my zook by then. I'm gonna go ahead and get it locked since I'll have most of it apart when I fix that seal anyways. Sure hate to miss Clayton, tho...And I'm dyin' to try out these beefier t-case mounts I have too! I think they're gonna cut out a lot of the vibration I had before they blew.

Re: Texas Twistin\'!

Hey Perry, I talked to Cori today about that place in Sachse. I was calling him about that JX he has. I didn't realise who I was talking to until he said he lived in Sachse and worked in Wylie. Hell we talked for about an hour.
