tires & wheels

I'm planning on adding a 1" shackle lift and spidertrax spacers on my '91 Samurai. What is the largest tire size that will fit on the stock rims ? Also, what tire/rim combo could i use with the 1inch lift and spacing?

Scott

Re: tires & wheels

Me personally, I don't think I would go with a 30. I run 29's now, with no lift and rub bad at full flex. I would recommend the 29 with an inch of lift. Also, if you remove your sway it will flex pretty nice and you can't tell all that much on the road that it is missing. I would recommend that also.

Re: tires & wheels

He is wright a 30" tire will fit but a 29" tire would better I would go with a 30" and let it rub but thats me I run a 32" tire on spoa and rubs a little but it lets me know when I am turning to sharp so I don't brake my front locker or axle

Re: tires & wheels

Keep in mind that with shackles, you only get 1/2 the lift. So, a 1" shackle lift only gets you 1/2" of actual suspension lift. You'll be sitting really tight on 235s with those. If you're only getting 1" shackles, I'd say stay with 225s. If you're getting 2" shackles for 1" of lift, 235s will fit, but they'll run and get sliced on the trail.
