Revolver Shackles Rust Welded

My revolver shackles rust welded together... They still unfold but they no longer revolve. I greased them on a regular basis but apparently they don't hold much grease and slowly froze up. I am going to try an mount them upside down next time so the water and sludge does not roll down into them. Any ideas on getting these things broke free? Has it happened to any one else?

Re: Revolver Shackles Rust Welded

Throw them in a cup of penetrating oil and leave them there for a few days. Hey, do those revolvers have some sort of bearings in them? Or are they just revolving metal on metal? I've thought about fabbin' my own, but this question has always haunted me...Also, when you have your suspension maxed out, do the revolvers actually seem to revolve? Do you see a noticable difference in the flex or srtess releif on your springs?

Hey, I was tryin' to look at your site, and all your pictures aren't showing up! Also, you say on your site that you're gonna scan your owner's manual and post it. I would be REALLY interested in that! Allow me to express much excitement at that idea!

Re: Revolver Shackles Rust Welded

The revolvers revolve metal on metal - hence the rust weld

The revolving action does not seem to help with the stress flex as much as I'd expect. And the absolutely don't help when they rust together

I'll work on my site - almost forgot I had one out there.
