I might be picking up a set of used CJ springs next week. What is needed
to run these springs on a 86 Zuki? Would I setup the Zuki rears in the front
and the rear CJ springs in the rear?
I am currently running 1.5" Rancho springs with a 4.5" SPOA. I have longer
shocks, brake lines, the drivline spacers, z-link, etc.
The CJ front springs are several inches longer than Samurai rears. To run them you'll need to provide some sort of extension for that extra length. Alot of folks use something like the Missing Links as a simple bolton way to take care of it. You can also fab something up yourself.
The rear Samurai springs up front are also a nice addition... better flex and softer ride.
A combination of the two makes for a nice system. Keep in mind that tyhe CJs in back might sit up an extra inch or so taller than the front by moving the rears to the front.
So what your saying is that I could use the Zuki rears in the front without any
I also have 1" lift shackles in the front that should accommodate for the
added hieght of the CJ springs in the rear.
I was wanting to run cj front springs all the way around. Will this make for a more even ride height?
