1.6 8V to 16V

I've got to replace an 8v engine with Weber that had something bad happen to it. I've got a chance to buy a 16v with ECM and wiring harness, but think I'd rather just put on the intake manifold with the Weber. Is it that simple or do I have to do some other modifications or adaptions? What am I losing doing this, besides FI?

Re: 1.6 8V to 16V

I have tried the 16 valve and got EXTREAMLY P.O. with all the wiring If it is just HP you are looking for you can get plenty out of an 8 valve also I like the idea of being able to work on my engine way out in the boonies can't do that with F.I.
If you go with the 8 valve just throw the intake from a 1.3 on and a weber or what ever carb you go with and you've got it
