V6!!

I would love to upgrade to a v6 but I was wondering if it is that much of a hassle? (screw it!) how about a v8?? I have talked to people before about doin' this and they said(both v6/8)that they had to do a heck of a lot of tremming!! if both are that complicating I will stick with the 4'bangers.

Thanx

Re: V6!!

My friend is doing a 350 V8 swap and is going well! Very EASY to swap. I'll post some pic's of his engine and I'm also going to do a install "how to" on my web-page. I'm doing a 4.3L conversion on my other rig, should be done before July. If you want to do any V6/V8 swap you will NEED to change your axles to Dana 44's, or something that will handle the power and tourqe. Here is one that I got from a e-mail friend, his is a clean and nice set-up! Its a Buick 3.8lL with th350 and 205 t-case. I'll have to post the URL because the pic is HUGE! I'm at work and can't make it small! Hope the it works, if not let me know!

Re: V6!!

You know the frame on a Samurai is only 3/32" thick. I'd be curious to see if it could take the torque of a V8.

Re: V6!!

There is a website somewhere that covers the v6 Ford install....but I can't seem to find it now. Anybody know what it is??

Yes Rollerskate...the Sammy frame seems to do pretty well under a v8...I've seen a few now, including one at a local junkyard (it's their parts yard truck!) with a built 355 Chevy (nice wheelies!!!) It's a cobbled together monster (looks like a refugee from Junkyard Wars!!)

Re: V6!!

Hey sorry I have not replied (been busy with football!). Wow that engine sure looks mighty fine zuk jr.!!Well I was thinking of runnin' a 302 with a c3/4 and a dana 20 tcase with dana 44 fronts and a ford 9 inch in the rear(Basically a old bronco set-up!!) but am worried about the tranny
cause:a. Its shifter is on the tree! b. that is one hell of a whopping tranny to slide into a zuk!!

P.S. THANK YOU ZUK BRO' FOR POSTING THAT SITE BUT EVERY-TIME I SEE A V6 POSTED THEY ALWAYS WANT DOUBLE THE PRICE OF A V8, PLUS I WOULD WANT TO BORE THE HECK OUT OF THE V6 IF IT IS POSSIBLE!

Thanx
