OEM automatic transmission

Was there ever an automatic transmission available from the factory for the Samurai in the US? I want to think I saw one a couple of years ago in an ad when I was first looking for mine, but I can't remember. If I recall, it was a really late model (92 or 93) with 2wd.

I'm pretty confident the answer is..............No. You want an auto you gots to do is yourself.

Re: OEM automatic transmission

I kinda thought so. I really enjoy driving the 5 speed, I was more curious than anything. I have never been able to find any info about an auto from the factory. Although, I do think the newer sammies in other parts of the world have them available now.

Re: OEM automatic transmission

I owned a 91 2wd and A/T was never an option. Infact I have never heard of an AT in a zuk accept for the new out of contry ones with the bigger engine. Here is a Pic of one of those newer zuks, to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Sweet. It looks like Suzuki has went back to a updated early Samurai dash. I like the white gauge faces.
