Instrument cluster Question

Will a Sammi Instrument cluster with a Tach from a 87 work in place of a Instrument cluster without tach on a 88.5 Sammy?

Re: Instrument cluster Question

Hey Bucheat: I don't think the pre 88.5 and post 88.5 tachs and instrument clusters are interchangable without a lot of fabrication.

Re: Instrument cluster Question

Lots of luck finding a cluster with a tach for the square vent type Zuk. There don't seem to be many of the newer type that came with tachs. I've been doing a search for a cluster with a tach for my 2wd to 4wd conversion. Since I was planning on replacing my 2wd cluster for one with a 4wd indicator light, I decided I might as well get one with a tach. Haven't had any luck locating one at any price.

Re: Instrument cluster Question

Hey bucwheat i got a JX instrument cluster with my new LWB i got the other day, dont think im going to give it away tho becuase i dont like the JA dashes as much... And you have a 88.5 dash, much different, wont work easy. My friend put a 88 dash in his 85 dash, he had to drill holes in the instrument cluster, doesnt look good.
