Re: ready to rebuild

I think Hawk Strictly Suzuki has a killer sale on high compression pistons right now.

New Suzuki Samurai 1.3L Hi-Compression Flat Top pistons in 0.020 and 0.030 sizes with Grant cast rings for $109.95 upgrade to DEVES premium cast rings for $124.95!

Re: ready to rebuild

Thanks for the tip zoomy . Here's the BEST tip for spark wires . Damn good copper/nickle spiral core 8.5mm - 60% off . NO shipping OR "handling" . No custom sets for Zuks , but if you buy the "universal" V8 straight boot set - you have enough to re-wire 2 Zuks & enough wire left over for a 3rd ! All for a total of $24 . Specs are at : http://shopcranecams.com/cranecams/index.html

Re: ready to rebuild

My experience is that piston slap usually comes from out of round bores.

Re: ready to rebuild

Hey Dave , I know it's half-assing but why don't you offer a 1.3 re-ring kit - rings, bearings, gaskets ? It could be a 1st over file to fit standard bore kit . Are the stock pistons usually toast - ring grooves or other ? Bores no bueno - what ?
Also will you match prices with Hawk's piston/ring sale ? Are moly rings available for the 1.3 ? How much $ are 1.6 ex valves ? What rpm range would they increase power with , say a stock cam ? What did you have for breakfast this morning ? How do you like all the ???????
Also FYI , your sig pic(s) are just white squares w/red Xs . Don't make me come down there !

Re: ready to rebuild

Wrist pins and rings should be included whenever buying new piston sets. I have never bought a set any other way.

Dave AZ - Do you sell a 1.3L rebuild kit that includes the hi-compression pistons instead? It seems that no one sells this combination. Also, do you know if Total Seal makes a set of rings to fit the 1.3L pistons? I am surprised that no one on the web lists Total Seal rings for the 1.3L. Thanks
