Custom Gauge Pod-pre 88.5

looks like pugrocker has a pod to take care of post 88.5. This is what I did for my 87. Check out the pics...
this pic shows roughly how my aluminum dash looks.

Re: Custom Gauge Pod-pre 88.5

this one shows it temp. installed (still waiting on gauges).
switches are going in the 6 holes to the left.
circuit breakers will be going in the row of holes below the gauges to replace my fuses.

zooky:

thats really nice.......I was trying to figure out how to make one for my 87 hardtop and the only thing that I could think of was to mount it where the radio is (the rig now has no radio) except that I would never be able to mount a radio.......But it would look really nice though

Re: Custom Gauge Pod-pre 88.5

thanks pug, I think there is enough room back there to mount a radio in this dash, that way it would sit higher, less likely to get dunked when crossing deep water. Actually, I was looking for a way to mount gauges in my '90, didnt think of your way.

Re: Custom Gauge Pod-pre 88.5

Looks good, I'm going to try to do a full dash like that! It will look like the Petroworks dash in the yellow Zuk! I'm just now getting done with the drawing and will have to price the stuff to make it! It might take a few months, I have lots of stuff I'm doing to my zuk now and have to get ready for lots of trail rides this spring! The dash is the last thing on my list! Good job on your dash!

Nice work Randy.
I was wondering what's going on with your Toy diffs?
Do yoy want the sell them?
Let me know if you do.
you didn't happen to get extra 4.10 gears for the LC rear did you?

Re: Custom Gauge Pod-pre 88.5

Danny, I am holding on to the Toy axles, I might build up my '90 with them and drop in a V6. These have 3.70 gears (yuk) I dont think the TLC came with 4.10's
I was planning to build a full aluminum dash, I put a parts list together and it was going to cost too much money by the time I bought everything so I settled on this one. It gives me the space I need to mount stuff and was cheap to make
