Roll Cage ???

Does anyone have any input any of the prefabbed roll cages out on the market (ie. Petroworks, or Rocky Road). Are they all for looks, should I have one built? Getting one UPS to my house is conveient but I want to be safe if tragedy happens.

Re: Roll Cage ???

If you are going to be doing any offroad at angles, I would think that additional roll cage protection would be called for. It has been my experience that Trail Tough makes a very good product and has competitive prices. Check out the Trail Tough internet site.

Re: Roll Cage ???

They certainly add protection but if you have the means to have one custom made then by all means go that route. Keep in mind with the lightness of the zuk these cages go a long way towards adding protection for the occupants is slow speed rollovers.

Re: Roll Cage ???

Looks like a few shops have cages available now. The only thing I'd say is stay away from cages that have zig-zags bent into the front loop. There is one on the market like this, I wouldn't expect any protection from that cage.

Brent's I'm sure are good. Our cages have also been roll tested and are assembled by an experienced rally-car fabricator.

Just don't buy one with a built in crumple zone on the front loop....
