confused

hey guys i appreciate all the replys, but my problem has seemed to disapear, a friend of mine suggested i try switching brand of oil i was using rotella 10w-30 changing it every 1500 miles, this morning i changed my oil and used conoco super sae 30w well my sammi has never gotten over 60 mph but i found myself cruising down the highway doing 80 and the peddle wasnt even touching the floor!!!!!! and the smoking has stopped as well when i got back to the house i let it idle for 3 hours and it never did start smoking, and yes i did recheck the oil its still full i put maybe 150 miles on it today so far so good, but i cant see how a brand of oil can be a fix all? has anyone else experienced the same thing??????? or is my sammi allergic to rotella lol

always looking for samurai parts

Re: confused

Rotella sounds like a brand of spigetti sauce. Maybe that was your problem. Try synthetic, you probably can go 100 mph on that if you can go 60 on spigetti sauce.

Re: confused

If you using 30w in your zuk you are going to ruin your lifters. 30w is for diesels. It is made thick, that is why you aren't smoking, it is too thick to get through the rings. I ran it in a 4 banger when I was in H.S. because we had it laying around, we bought it in 50 gallon drums for our equipment on the farm. The stuff practically ruined my engine. The only other time I know of people using it in gas engines is for rebuilding purposes.

Re: confused

The oil will help but the real reason you canít get over 60 mph is the mirrors. Too much drag, take the outside mirrors off and youíll have to get a pilotís license.

Re: confused

I run 10-30 valvoline in my sami. Its great in my opinion. And according to the owners manual thats the preffered weight. I wont run anything but valvoline. Im not disagreeing with you im jus curious as to what everybody else runs.
