any interest???

heres the scenerio, i was talkin to a feller who does some machine work, more as a hobby i think, but i mentioned that i would be interested in a twin stick shifter for my zuk. he is familiar with zuks, and he began to wonder how much call there would be for a twin stick shifter for one. told him i would supply a t/c and shifter for experimentation. the question is, is there anybody out here that would like a twin stick shifter for their zuk????? one for 4x4 and the other for low range. just like the ol willys jeeps. dont know about prices yet, just talked to him yesterday. hope to know in a week or so. he has got to look at it first. may not even be feesable depending on quantities wanted/needed.
let me know.

Re: any interest???

Hello BB,

I would be interested so long as the price was "reasonable". FWIW, several years ago I was talking to Tim Hardy
and he said it would be possible.

Keep us posted.

BB
I have a prototype already done. Working out the bugs at the moment.
It's more complex then I had originally thought. Not much space to work in.
I expect it to be available in the upcoming month.

Re: any interest???

Danny L,
are you going to be sellin them on a production basis, or just one here n 2 there? any idea on the price? might just have to buy yours rather than get him to do some for us. i know they will be complicated. have 2 pivioting levers, inside those small quarters, then be able to put it in there with factory spring cup n rubber cap. i know it is tough.
later

Re: any interest???

hey man, i believe there is going to be some good response to this idea. i understand about details. you already have the whole idea almost complete, you dont need to give me the details. i just want a dual stick shifter. dont matter to me if it comes from the dude i found, or from you. do you have any idea on the retail price yet? price is what everybody is asking about. too many clams n THEY dont want it, but not enough clams and YOU dont cover manufacturing n shipping. email me off list with more info please. prices etc.

thanks man.
