PICCIES - double-mobile-winch-bumper

Hi folks,

ann'xd find some fotos of my "famous" ;o) mobile winch bumper with the winch installed...

the electric connection was made using a 380Volts semi-industrial -wet-construction-site plug.

Hope calmini ain't ripping the design of )

one more...

note that from the outside, we managed to keep it nearly stock! (although there is a 4x2" bad-ass square tube behind the coke-can-bumper)

look for my older post "pic's of my new bumper" dated Jan 13th 2001... there are the pics from the design stage

Good work!
I do have one question though....
It looks as if there the 2x2 welded to the plate(that the winch is mounted too) is offset all the way to one edge. from what I can see the plate looks about 1/4" thick, aren't you affraid it will bend with out gussets?
Not criticising your design, just wondering that's all..........

I think that winch would stall before that 1/4" bends. If you REALLY think about it....8000lbs is not that much, much less for a 5000lb winch.

also he has 1 2x2 tubes on it 1 on each side
